Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman Appointed as Patron of the Chemical Society of Pakistan

The Chemical Society of Pakistan is deeply honored to announce that Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, a highly esteemed and internationally recognized scholar, has graciously accepted the position of Patron of the society. Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman is currently serving as Professor Emeritus at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi.

Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman’s contributions to science and education in Pakistan are unparalleled. He has twice served as the President of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (2003-2006, and 2011–2014). His leadership in government roles is equally impressive, having been the Federal Minister of Science and Technology (2000-2002), the Federal Minister of Education (2002), and the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission with the status of Federal Minister (2002-2008).

With an illustrious career marked by outstanding contributions to the advancement of science and technology both in Pakistan and internationally, Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman’s involvement will be a source of great inspiration and guidance for the Chemical Society of Pakistan. His remarkable vision and leadership in the scientific community have earned him immense respect, and we are privileged to benefit from his support and expertise.
