The Department of Chemistry is thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all participants for the upcoming “34th National and 22nd International Chemistry Conference (CHEMCON24),” scheduled for October 30-November 01, 2024, at the Department of Chemistry, University of Malakand (UOM), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Department of Chemistry, UOM, Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), UOM, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan are collectively organizing a three-day international chemistry conference entitled the 34th National and 22nd International Chemistry Conference on "Chemistry for Sustainable Life" at UOM, KPK, Pakistan, under the auspices of the Chemical Society of Pakistan.

The conference will feature a comprehensive program including plenary sessions, Keynote addresses, Invited lectures, and Oral/Poster presentations. We are confident this gathering will be intellectually rewarding and foster valuable participant collaboration.

 

21st International & 33rd National Chemistry Conference (2023)

The Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad is organizing a 3-day international chemistry conference entitled “21st International, 1st Inter-Islamic, & 33rd National Chemistry Conference on Chemical Sciences: Technology, Innovation & Sustainability" (Chemcon2023) during October 23-25, 2023 at QAU, Islamabad, Pakistan. Chemcon2023 is a premier event that addresses the new advancements and challenges in the field of Chemistry. Chemcon2023 aims to provide an opportunistic forum and vibrant platform for researchers and industry practitioners to share their original research work and practical development experiences on specific new challenges and emerging issues.

20th International and 32nd National Chemistry Conference (2022)

The Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) is a public sector university, established in 2014 and is situated on Abu Dhabi Road Rahim Yar Khan, Panjab, Pakistan. It is a beautiful state-of-the-art campus of KFUEIT spread over 275 acres. 19th International and 31st National Chemistry Conference (2021)

The 19th International & 31st National Conference on Emerging Trends in Chemistry (2nd CCUMT 2021) is a premier event designed to address the latest advancements and challenges in the field of chemistry. Organized jointly by the Department of Chemistry and the Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Management & Technology (UMT) in Lahore, along with the Chemical Society of Pakistan (CSP), this three-day international conference is scheduled for December 16-18, 2021, at the Department of Chemistry, UMT, C-II Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan.

The 2nd CCUMT 2021 aims to provide an opportunistic forum and vibrant platform for researchers and industry practitioners to share their original research and practical development experiences on emerging challenges and issues in chemistry. The conference will focus on various critical areas, including the development and synthesis of new therapeutic molecules, new materials or alloys for mining and infrastructure, innovative methodologies for conducting chemical reactions, and the identification of novel materials with unique properties.

18th International and 30th National Chemistry Conference (2019)

The 30th National & 18th International Chemistry Conference on Recent Trends in Chemistry (CCUMT-2019) was organized jointly by the Department of Chemistry and the Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Management & Technology (UMT), Lahore, along with the Chemical Society of Pakistan (CSP). The conference took place from November 27-29, 2019, at the Department of Chemistry, UMT, C-II Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan.

CCUMT-2019 aimed to serve as a platform for the exploration and discussion of novel ideas and recent advancements in chemistry. The conference focused on various pivotal areas, including the development and synthesis of new therapeutic molecules, new materials or alloys for mining and infrastructure applications, innovative methodologies for conducting chemical reactions, and the identification of new materials with unique properties.

17th International and 29th National Chemistry Conference (2018)

The conference, held from September 6 to September 8, 2018, at the Baragali Summer Campus of the University of Peshawar, served as a vital platform for presenting and discussing significant scientific achievements in chemistry and related disciplines. It successfully facilitated connections among young and experienced scientists, chemical industries, and development activities.

The event featured a diverse range of session formats, including plenary sessions, panel discussions, and poster presentations, providing numerous opportunities for young researchers to showcase their work and engage with established experts in the field. The key objectives of the conference included raising awareness within the scientific and social communities about the critical role of chemical sciences in societal welfare, promoting knowledge-based policies for chemical education and research, and developing strategies to address the challenges faced by teachers and researchers in chemical sciences. Furthermore, the conference aimed to provide young researchers with opportunities to interact with eminent national and international scientists and to establish linkages between national and international universities.

16th International and 28th National Chemistry Conference (2017)

The 28th National and 16th International Chemistry Conference on "Chemistry and Global Challenges" was jointly organized by the Department of Chemistry at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (FUUAST) and the Chemical Society of Pakistan (CSP). This 3-day international event took place from November 20-22, 2017, at FUUAST's Gulshan-e-Iqbal campus in Karachi, Pakistan.

The conference aimed to achieve several key objectives:
- To bring together scientists and technologists from both academia and industry to share research ideas and knowledge in chemical sciences.
- To establish links between traditional chemistry and innovative emerging technologies.
- To engage graduate students and young chemists, enhancing their awareness of recent advancements in chemical sciences.
- To promote scientific collaboration through interdisciplinary research.

The focal fields of the conference included Analytical, Environmental, Green, Inorganic, Nano, Marine, Geo, Food, Physical, Material, Organic, Medicinal, and Applied Chemistry, among others. 15th International and 27th National Chemistry Conference (2016)

This conference, a landmark event for the University of Malakand, marked a significant step towards the institution's growth and maturity. It attracted a large number of national and international delegates from countries such as Turkey, China, Sweden, Jordan, Malaysia, the USA, and Qatar. The conference facilitated extensive discussions that led to new "social contracts" for chemistry, focusing on the current state of the field, its societal impact, and future directions.

Participants explored ways to advance chemistry in line with societal expectations and the challenges posed by human and social development. The event also fostered national and international collaborations, and select research papers were chosen for publication in a special issue of "The Journal of the Chemical Society of Pakistan."

Held in a conflict-affected region, the conference helped break the isolation of the area and demonstrated the prevailing peace, encouraging both national and international delegates to visit and engage with the community.

14th International and 26th National Chemistry Conference (2015)

The Department of Chemistry and the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with the Chemical Society of Pakistan, jointly organized the 26th National and 14th International Chemistry Conference from October 05-08, 2015, at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The conference theme was "Chemistry: Exploring Solutions in the Changing World."

This 4th International Chemistry Conference at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur saw the participation of over 300 eminent scientists and researchers from around the world. The event covered various fields, including:

- Analytical, Radiation, and Environmental Chemistry
- Applied, Industrial, Polymer, and Textile Chemistry
- Bio, Nutritional, Food, and Agricultural Chemistry
- Inorganic, Nano, and Nuclear Chemistry

13th International and 25th National Chemistry Conference (2014)

The Chemical Society of Pakistan (CSP) and the Institute of Chemistry at the University of the Punjab jointly organized a 3-day conference titled the 25th National and 13th International Chemistry Conference, marking the silver jubilee of the Chemical Society of Pakistan. This milestone event was held from 20 to 22 October 2014 at the Institute of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.

As a silver jubilee celebration, the conference not only highlighted the Chemical Society of Pakistan's 25 years of achievements but also served as a platform for scientific innovation and collaboration. A diverse group of national and international scientists, researchers, and academicians gathered to share their insights and advancements in the field of chemistry, making the event a major milestone in the society’s history.

Keynote addresses, technical sessions, and poster presentations covered a wide range of topics, including analytical chemistry, organic synthesis, environmental chemistry, nano-materials, and medicinal chemistry.
